Please join me in praying for Pastor Abraham Piang and Dawn Bible Church in Shwe Pyi Thar, Yangon Region, Myanmar. I hope you’ll also take a moment to email him to let him know you are praying: abrahampiang27@gmail.com.
From Pastor Piang:
I was committed to serve the Lord from my childhood by my parents it was when they believed in Christ because I am the first born son in my family. And I went to Bible schools from 1998-2009, after I finished my studies, I came back and start the ministry by lecturing at some Bible schools in Yangon, Myanmar till the 2020. But during the Covid, the Lord called me to start planting the Church instead of working other jobs. So my wife and I prayed and started this church planting with my family by faith alone without any support. Translation books is my income to support the family and ministry expenses.
I spend two days for evangelism and now one day for home visit as the Lord bless my commitment and gives me some converts from Buddhism.
We are having worship service weekly at my rented house, we have no property for the church till now.
Regarding ministry, I pray first and go to where God leads to meet the people and share the gospel. As we mostly approach the poor, it is necessary to show our love and care for them in action because Myanmar is now the poorest and most jobless country due to military coup since 2021. People suffer a lot from all sides.
It is very difficult to do mission without support, and I am very tired to do it alone. . . . Though we need the property for the church and building, we need urgently for the thing I mentioned in my former letter. (I would like to request to pray for the peace of Myanmar which is under military coup since 2021 and facing civil wars in almost all regions in it.)
The ministry needs supports for the maintenance of His church and its ministry as I have been going door to door to the poor and the sick, we need to show our care and love in action that they can see God’s mercy.
Now the Lord brought above 40 persons to worship at my house weekly and I have baptized 23 converted persons.
Please kindly pray . . .
If you’d allow me to so address you as Overseer Weigand, I’ve been linked to your blog for some years now and it has been consistently true to what you’ve mentioned in that it’s made me aware and appreciative of God’s Ministry, across countries and throughout nations. Thank you for following the Leadership of God and doing what He instructs because is leaves an indelible imprint, a Spiritual connection to others who serve His Flock. Thank you for your legacy and longevity in God’s Ministry. It’s my prayer that every Pastor, Leader, Preacher, Teacher, Evangelist that you highlight is captivated to continue to do The Work of The One that sent us into This Word to be Beacons of Light in darkness, to break barriers and to gather as “One Church under One God” who is The Lord God Almighty. Thanks for un-complicating Ministry.
